Over 93 million people in the United States are affected by the worldwide epidemic of obesity. Besides its own debilitating effects, obesity is also connected to more than 40 conditions like hypertension and diabetes. About $60 billion dollars are spent by Americans each year on products to lose weight. This enormous amount of money represents the significant desire to take charge of their health and weight and have access to weight loss-related information.
